ALESSANDRO LANZONI TRIO FT. RALPH ALESSI presents SELDOM

Alessandro Lanzoni presents his new album “Seldom” released by CAM Jazz (distribution by Goodfellas) on November 18th. This is the second record of his trio with Matteo Bortone on double bass and Enrico Morello on drums. The album features special guest and world-renowned trumpeter Ralph Alessi. “Seldom” is another highlight in the career of the 22 years old pianist that prooves a remarkable maturity both technical and expressive. Alessandro was awarded with the ‘2013 Best New Talent’ Prize, by highly-respected italian Jazz magazine Musica Jazz, after the release of “Dark Flavour”, the first album of the trio. The prize was followed by a very intense period of concerts that helped the trio to focus on new compositions before recording the new album. 2013 has been an intense year, full of personal satisfaction for Alessandro Lanzoni, 21 year old Florentine pianist, still amazingly young but already with many very important experiences to his credit. On February 26 “Dark Flavour” was released, the new album of Alessandro Lanzoni, a Florentine pianist with already many important experiences gained despite his young age. Dark Flavour has been produced by CAM Jazz, and is part of the series CAM Jazz Presents, dedicated to new Italian and foreign jazz talents. The Album has luminous contests with both lyric and rhythmic episodes and it shows the growing expressive maturity of the young pianist, here strengthened by the effective rhythm of Matteo Bortone on double bass and Enrico Morello at the drums. Six of the eleven tracks of the album are by Lanzoni, and they show his great talent also as a composer, of which the most significant “ Dark Flavour”, is also the name of the Album.
